When ever I wash my truck water will sit inside of the back mirror housing. So, after I dry off the truck. Then later when have to go some where the water will flow out therefore dripping on the truck and leaving water stains. I drilled a couple of drain holes in each mirror let the water run out when I'm drying the truck off. It's seems so far to be working. JH68

Pewter still stains. I get water marks from my mirros and when it dries it leave a dirt mark. So you still have to wash it, but not as much as the darker colors.

I've heard of the trick of drilling holes to drain the water, too.
I use an air hose to blow them out before I chamois it off.
I have a friend who uses plastic bags to keep the water out while He washes.

I didn't think about that. I'll try almost anything. The bottom molding on the front drivers window as a gap in it and the water comes out of it to. I'll get my dealer to look at it. JH68
