which winch

Post by Maximous »

what winch would be good for our trucks, wieght wise, i found a good deal on like a 11000 pound winch, and thats cool and all but will that drop my front end to low low statuts, what is a good wieght to pull winch for our truck, oh yeah currently i am running stock shocks, this will be a good excuse to replace those at someone elses cost (my mom is gonna buy me a winch for my birthday, 21st, and if they get it mounted before i get home, they might go ahead and say "well, i guess he needs better shocks" pretty smart huh)

cant say i know too much about electric vs hydraulic...but our trucks weight in at 4500 lbs..so that 11000 seems about right. i have a 8000 on my 3k buggy. dont get me wrong, a smaller winch will work fine, BUT its better to over build a little for that one time when you really need it

Probably, since I have heard 1.5 x vehicle weight is a good place to start.
