Yesterday I spent way too much time changing the
transmission fluid & filter. GM has put the shift linkage bracket
onto the tranny pan. This makes taking the pan off even more of a pain in the ass. , than my '88 S10.
There isn't much room to get a wrench up there, forget about a socket.
It ain't gonna happen. Using the wrench takes forever.
piss poor designing.
If any of you are thinking about changing your ATF, wait, order
a pan with a plug or get yourself a plug kit. Our CCs don't have
a plug on the pan. Your gonna wish it did.
And like quickbiker said, get the deep sump filter.

I just did mine. That seal they want you to replace is a pain to get out. The pan is hard to get off & on, I have experiance now I had the pan up backwards & two times the right way. The filter wasn't pushed up into the seal enough, so down came the pan again. I may do it myself next time now that I know the in's & outs with a little #@$%*()
