OK heres the deal... I want that sweet look and a smooth ride.

I'm gonna do the 2" BL from PA. After I get word on the 6" SL from you guys I may do that. I dabble in the mud a bit, but not often enough to go crazy (WARN).

I like the stock ZR5 wheels, but the widest tire I can fit would be a 10" maybe a 10 1/2".

I want to get a grill guard with a Warn Winch.

And lastly, I want to get all the skid plates and rock sliders for my body and chassis armor.

My question, almost forgot about that, will the SL have all I need for that look, or will I need other things? Do I need to get lockers and such? Remember this is my daily driver.

Well...it all depends on what kind of wheeling you're going to do. If it's mostly mud, then I'm not sure what to tell you. If it's mostly rocks, and you're planning on running trails that will use every bit of the 6" lift, then you'll need skid plates, re-gear to 4.10's, good rear locker, rock sliders, possibly custom front and rear bumpers (check out AedoFab...they look pretty good), and probably some 15x10 wheels so that you can run 33x12.5's to get a little more ground clearance. That's what I'd get if I were going to be wheeling on the rocks a lot anyway.

total=2520

SFA conversion from fabritech=4000

dont forget that 4200 front diff repair bill after one of ur fist hill climbs with 31s :?
fabritech= bs, those people are too cocky

I love our trucks and eveything, but theres a reason no one makes a good lift kit for our trucks(up untill now). the axles just cant really hold up to tuff use, i would say if your going to do all that, look for a ZR2 rear diff. they are a true 1/2 ton axle, 3.73 gears, the U joint should bolt up, and you wont need spacers beacuse its 1.5"s wider on each side. but thats just what I would do.

and concerning your question. i am not sure what it is...but if its, "is my truck going to look cool after its lifted with bigger tires on it?" yes it will look cool, go for it..

and if you want it to ride smooth, then dont do crap to it. let it alone.

The threat of divorce is why I quit working on my crew! She doesn't mind me pouring a ton of money into a rusty 17 year old S-10 Blazer though. Go figure! Oh, and having been through a divorce once before, I can tell you that they can cost a whole lot more than $20K, especially if you have kids! ($450 child support per month x 12 months x 18 years = $97200)

Oh, and not to get off the subject, if all you are looking for is looks, forget the lockers (who can see them?). A good lift like TM 5" or the SL 6" and a nice set of wheels and tires should do it nicely. If you never go off road, you might be able to get 33's under it which would look pretty good.[/i]
