Anyone interested in a 10" lift?
Theres an offroad shop down here in pasadena, texas that did a 10" lift on a crew cab ZR5...I'm going to talk to the owner sometime this week and see if we can't get something going on production of the 10" kit he did on the crew cab. Would this be something many people would be interested in?

You know, I saw a crew driving on FM 529 in Houston about a month ago that was looking pretty good, I just asumed it had the TM lift on it. Unfortunatly, it was going the other direction so I only caught a quick glance at it. Wonder if it was the same one?

a 10 inch IFS lift is considered by most unsafe....have you seen those crazy pics of truckin that made like a 17" IFS lift for full size chevys
besides, by the time you pay for 10" of custom lift, you could of just SFAed it and been way better off in the end

I know THAT one really well. All my mods on my Crew came to a "screaming halt". In other words, I stopped modding when the wife started screaming! She has no problem with a V8 swap, SFA, etc, on my Blazer (which I'm doing) just as long as I don't mess with the Crew. Oh well.

If it's SFA, count me in (depending on price of course). I'll be in the market for SFA in 3 years from now. There is a place close to me that makes a kit, but I really haven't seen any great comebacks yet from installs. I still like the one Warn had with 35's. But be nice to have spring over, maybe just not with so much bow so it would not be so high.MrHughesZR5 wrote:Theres an offroad shop down here in pasadena, texas that did a 10" lift on a crew cab ZR5...I'm going to talk to the owner sometime this week and see if we can't get something going on production of the 10" kit he did on the crew cab. Give us details, coils or leafs? I think that if anyone produced a proven SFA for late model S-10's, it would be great. I've seen huge demand for it. Cause myself, I just don't have time to mess around with guessing games, just some bluprints and part numbers that work and I'd be set.

Where? All I've found so far is "Fabritech". Other than that, everything seems to be home made.quickbiker wrote:If it's SFA, count me in (depending on price of course). I dunno about the crewcab -- but I was looking through their "Whoops" section in their gallery--this is the definition of STUCK.

What's even worse is that it really doesn't look that deep -- only about 15 feet wide with clear tracks leading into and out of the abyss...
I think this guy here is wheelin' beyond the capabilities of his truck as well.....

Not really a whole lot of info needed.
It is an IFS lift, and I have a feeling the 10" number is including any lift gained by fitting the taller tires. From the Pic, the truck doesn't have nearly the wheelwell clearance that Warn or BadAss' trucks do, running virtually the same diameter tire.
Looks like they are custom building their own drop down bracketry. It doesn't look as scary as that monstrosity from truckin, but turning 40 inch tires on a stock IFS front end means you should never engage your 4x4.
What would be interesting is if the bracketry incorporated an ability to install a fullsize IFS, and getting a little more stregnth, but for the $$$ you could go SFA easier I bet.

I showed that to a buddy of mine that has a 250 lifted 4 inches on 33's. He says it's been around a few forums, and was recently sold on ebay.
He said that one guy who drove it said that it was like trying to drive a trampoline.
I just find that statement funny....

I wouldn't even think of taking that thing off road ! I love lifted trucks but that thing is just a waste of money IMO. I've seen trucks that hight at shows that were higher but they had awsome airbag systemsthat would bring them down to street height wich was still high but at least it was usable as a truck if you really wanted to.
