Could a SLP Y-pipe work?

Is it possible that they do not list one due to the pre-cat in our Y-pipe?
Removal of the pre-cat would affect the emissions system, and perhaps be illegal for them to do?

Y pipe
I didn't think getting a larger Y pipe would necessary mean getting rid of the pre cat. I don't believe the SLP Y pipe for the earilier models get rid of the pre cat, basically it replace the exsisting stock Y, just a larger size and even flow bends that bolts up to the exsisting collector...
I'm really not sure to be honest, I have a Powerdyne SC and want to just increase the exhaust flow with out going to headers and already have an aft cat Flow 2.5" exhaust so installing a larger Y was the next best thing I guess...

The problem I think is that the pre-cat is downstream of the collector and in the y-pipe, so replacing the y-pipe means replacing the pre-cat, which is an emissions no-no.

I've done a little more looking at the stock y-pipe.
It is not really such a bad one. the head pipes are 1.9" od (1.75" id?) mandrel bent and make a pretty smooth transition to 2.5" pipe.
I am positive that removal of the pre-cat has helped matters.
I removed my pre-cat after it plugged, and have not thrown a code, so I am confident that it would still satisfy the emission testing standards.
I had the opportunity to check the y-pipe on a '96 S-10 2wd. It is significantly smaller diameter, and makes a pretty harsh transition.
Now if you install headers, building a 2" y-pipe may have benefits, but "All-in-all" , I think that our Y-pipe is not too bad, and there may not be any gains in replacing it.
I'd say if you need a little more performance and you are not worried that you will have to pass an undercarriage visual inspection...ditch the pre-cat and stick with the stock y-pipe.
