4 HI Problems!

any one have this problem. I put the truck in 4HI goes in no problem stopped or moving. but sometimes when I give it gas its almost that it pops out (goes into neutral) then makes a terrible grinding noise then after the Rpms come down it pops back in(gear). this only happens in 4 HI. its beggining to get more frequent. I looked back at other posts couldn;t find any, so sorry if this is a repost.

yes, the front axle or transfer case disengages once in a while and the horrible grinding noise happens. If your problem is in the transfer case, the only way to fix it is to boost vacuum pressure, if it is the front axle, you need a posi lock for the actuator. Not sure on how to boost vacuum pressure though.
