I did my 32,777mi. service today. I'm getting it ready for a trip , "over the hills and through the woods..." to the inlaws for xmas (Enterprise, OR)
Changed engine oil/filter, flushed/exchanged transmission fluid, replaced fuel filter, lubed chassis, checked all fluid levels, new wiper blades, new Delco cap/rotor, changed to Bosch Platinum +4 plugs, K&N wasn't bad so just lightly brushed off the bugs.
Condition of cap and rotor: Cap had some ash build-up on the contacts, might have been cleanable. The center contact wear was acceptable.
The rotor was pretty cruddy, probably could have been cleaned, but was definately in need of some attention.
Note: they are still selling the replacement caps with those D@#N loctited screws be sure to check this thread - Plastic Distributor Mine was not cracked. I used a pick to remove all the dried locktite from the threads and reinstalled the used, clean screws.
Condition of plugs: They all looked pretty good , however I would probably rate them at 50% pretty sure they would be "gone" before the 100k, but I'm running the MSD which may account for some of this condition. I could have cleaned and reused them , however I have been curious if there would be any mileage differences from running the multiple ground plugs with the MSD.
Condition of trans. fluid: A little darkened, not real bad. I opted to just flush/exchange the fluid with out a filter change, this time. I changed the filter at 15k and will again at 45-50k.
Now everyone is thinking, "Why do all that now?" I put mine through some extreme conditions, hot, dusty, short trips, towing, hills, offroad.
I also prefer a higher level of tune than is acceptable to most.

Oh! almost forgot-
For those without a 2" body lift...My condolences...You are going to have lots of fun trying to change your sparkplugs
And for those with skid plates...it is a real "son-of-a-gun" to change that fuel filter now!

Hmm. Maybe I can convince the wife about the merits of a body lift once the truck starts running a little roughHenryJ wrote:Oh! almost forgot-

Also, I kind of figured the t-case skid plate would need to be dropped to make changing the fuel filter a little easier.
