Turns TOO FAR

Post by Horsehammerr »

I think the stop on my right lower A-arm is worn down or the arm got bent back somehow. It allows my inner wheel bead edge to rub my swaybar. Can this be possible ? I am running 9" x 16" '84 corvette wheels , so they are back set as far as can be done. Have run Autocross a lot with this setup and never had this rub before. This rubbing only happens when backing hard left with wheel turned to the stop.

I added weld to my stops so that the tires did not rub :)

Think that's what I'll do . Any chance this is happening because of a worn Ball Joint ? I lube my whole front end every 3-4,000 miles when I change oil. Yes all 11 points. :)

Could be from worn steering linkage. I would check your idler and pitman arms.
