Stock Flexplate Tooth Count

Post by killian96ss »

Does anyone happen to know if we have a 153 or 168 tooth flexplate? I plan on getting a new starter soon, and I don't want one that fits either size. I would rather have one that is a perfect fit. :D The reason I am asking about this is because I plan on getting an aftermarket starter rather than an OEM one. :D

Our 4L60E's are different than the earlier ones where the bell housing and case were cast as one piece. We have a detachable bell housing that lacks the larger removable inspection cover. We do have a very small inspection hole, but this would take forever to turn and count teeth.
