Late 2002- early 2003 question

Post by Jim »

I'm getting closer to having everything ready to install my floor shifter and I have two columns I can use. I have an 04 column w/o the steering lock and a early 2002 column with the lock. GM decided not to lock the columns after conferring with the insurance co that the lock is no longer needed. Who has a 2002 the steering column doesn't lock the wheel in place? I'm trying to determine if mine is close to the change-over time Mine was built 1/02 and locks.
