Hi Guys
Under the bonnet on the driver side there is a plastic ball mounted which has a main vacum line. The vacum line appears to be torn away with time. I am going to change it by the new one tomrow. Anyone who could tell me as what is the function this vacum pipe plays on?

That is the vacuum reservoir. It stores vacuum for when the engine is not developing much.
