alright got another for you guys. lately ( past month or so) my trucks been smelling pretty bad. every time i shut it off it smells like tar almost. and i cant even really tell from where. dula exaust causeing the problems maybe? i dunno but if anyone has had osmething like this let me know

OK, no one is answering this ...so I'll give you some things to check.

There have been cases where the drain for the AC evaporator plugged the residual moisture encouraged bacterial growth. This leads to a musty smell from the HVAC system. Cleaning out the drain, flushing the housing and spraying the evaporator with a deodorizer will cure that problem.

The other is one friend had in his 2001 Highrider. The armrest pad when heated gave off a terrible smell. This happened in the summer when it was hot and the windows rolled up.
The armrest was reported to have been produced in a questionable shop somewhere south of the border? That part was just rumored :lol: Any way the armrest was replaced under warranty and I didn't hear any more about the issue.

hey i didnt even notice someone answered this finally lol. thanks. i will check those. and come to think of it the ac and heat does give off a wierd smell when starting up. :S

hopfully they can find it when i take my truck for a service later in the month if i cant. cause its pretty noticable smell.
