What you seek is the Quadbeam Headlight Mod
That page is linked from our modifications page on the website.
Be sure to ignore the ScotchLocs and solder and heatshrink the connections instead. That will save you trouble later. I know from experience.
Now Look up the HIR bulbs from Toshiba for the highbeams and mod the halogen highbeam bulbs for the lows. That combination is outstanding.

Re: 4high headlight mod
instead of using splice connectors, you want me to just solder the wires together?

Yes. You can cut the wire and slip a piece of heatshrink tubing over the wires, or use some liquid electrical tape to coat the connection.

If you need more read some of the threads on the quadbeam mod. I went through quite a process to get it to work properly. The whole highbeam DRL and reduced intensity rotating ground issue was a real brain teaser.

You may be able to find a better relay diagram. Many of the other sites you will find linked to my page. Keep in mind that low DRL and high DRL are different. This page only applies to the high DRL s-series.

Re: 4high headlight mod
Does anyone know if it is possible to accomplish the quadbeam mod with a diode instead of a relay. I have a friend with an 03 silverado. He wedged a diode between his high and low relay and it works great. The way i see it its basicaly the same. It only allows power to flow one way. Just though id get some thoughts and opinions before i atempt it. I can put up a picture of his set up if that will help.

Re: 4high headlight mod
I am running the mod of which you speak, on my Avalanche: FTDRL / All-On-High Mod.PDF
I really don't think it would be easily done, if possible at all, for the s-series as the high and low beam are not on separate relays in the electrical center. Then you have the issue of the rotating ground for the reduced intensity daytime running lamp operation. My vote is "It won't work".
Keep in mind that those diodes are not able to move large amperage, so they can not replace a relay. In the above mod they just activate relays.
Stick with the Quadbeam Headlight Mod and add a relay. I still think it is the easiest method.

Re: 4high headlight mod
Thanks thats what i needed to know. I didnt know our highs and lows were on the same relay. I just figured they were the same as the full size. I will go the relay route then.

I have wanted to do this for a long time.
Just one question how do I "mod the halogen highbeam bulbs for the lows"?
thanks
