For me it was the worst when my dad was in the passenger seat as he likes to lean on it and is half deaf and can't hear the squeak. Well, I finally got sick of it. I had to replace the carpet (a whole other story and not a good one) so, since I had it out, I completely dismanteled the center console and put a bead of silicone anywhere that anything made contact with anything, especially plastic against plastic. Miracle cure. Its the quietest its ever been. Why don't they do that in the factory? Its cheap, works better than anything else and would keep us from having to hunt the elusive Squeak Gremlins all the time.

I wish I had thought of it, and done it during one of the dozen or so times that I have had mine out. I am going to do this someday.

ha ha ha ! , i was just think about this last night , I just couldn't find the damn squeeking ! .
You could regularly see me pound my fist against the console . I have found that the position your seat is in also makes difference too . I try the silcone thing though ,
