Reed's Mallards.

It looks like Reed's mallards decided to pay me a visit. My daughter was going to school yesterday when I get a call that her car(2000 Subaru Outback wagon) quit and won't start. When I get there, it cranks, but sounds strange. After getting it home ($170.00) I find that the timing belt tensoner has broken, and now I hae to pull the heads to see what damage has been done. Reed, I would appreciate it if you kept your pets in Kentucky.

Yeah, his ducks occasionally fly all the way out to California to pay me a visit!

Try having your own personal flock stationed nearby.

After pulling the heads today, I remembered why I like my truck. they were agrivating to say the least. I'll have to pull rhe rest of the engine to drill out the broken bolt that caused all the trouble. At least I only have to replace the valves the way it looks now.

Ah, the joys of shared space engines and timing belts...
