Nope. Axle was in a hole.

That vid has been around for a couple yrs. Should be used as an example or what not to do. Between using a chain and the driver/occupant worried about keeping their shoes clean, there's not much going on here to help anyone learn a lesson.

now it works,,, yeah i saw that video for the first time about 6 months ago... wow... lol. still "amazing" to watch.

while were on the subject, what would been the better way to go about that?

get in there and dig out the front passanager tire as much as possible through in my rocks, or 2x4s to help ramp/guide it out?

I first throught they strapped the to axle, if they did they woulda take it with em, i noticed this time it was in a hole (then I read what Brule said, lol)

A buddy of mine and I are going wheeling on some creek beds tommorow, ill try and get pictures this time. Shouldnt be nothing bad hes taking his 96? reg cab z71 v6 silverado this time and leaving his king quad atv at home. But i think im gonna get a atv this winter/spring and wheel it instead of the crew for the most part.

A careful winch recovery. Close to the stuck side so that the winch would serve to lift that tire up / forward and out of the hole.
Maybe even slide the rear around and pull it out backward from that hole.
