Seven years ago today

Seven years ago today...two plane crashes at our airport, a fire in the emergency room and a Hazmat call to Canyon City. I missed them all sitting in a delivery room awaiting the arrival of my son.
Worth everything and more.

But I am sure it was well worth the wait and the emergency services were 2nd in your thoughts at the time.

Yeah, thats right...yeah.
Actually, I asked if I would have time for the Hazmat call. That call would have paid for the entire delivery. The nurse said "You will never make it back in time."
When the fire started in ER , they asked me if they should evacuate? I told them it was a big hospital and that we should wait for the call to evacuate. It was out with the first arriving unit and some smoke evacuation was all that was really needed.
