Mufflers for small engines

This is slightly off topic from vehicles, but someone here will probably know. Where should I look to get a muffler for my snow blower ~8hp to quiet it down. Ideally I would like it to be as quiet as a car, but I'll take what I can get. Right now it sounds like a harley with straight pipes...

A flowmaster is probably a little big, but hey, if it works like in the link above.......

And that is a bad thing?
How about a set of hearing protectors? I like Peltor. Some of the gun buffs may have some good recommendations.

Check out Outdoor Distributors at
www.outdoordistributors.com. I have used them a few times and have found them to be reliable and reasonable as well

Ive got a Sears Craftsman 5 horse 2 stroke that sounds just like a sled...it is deceivingly loud for what it is, and I like it that way...it ticks off the neighbors really well

SuperTrapps are good. Tuneable too. I run dual 5" on the HenryJ.
