So when I wen't to go get my front bumper made a couple of weeks ago I planted the seed in my welder's head that we should build an rti ramp. so he ordered the tube and I promised I would come up and help him build it. Last saturday I went up and we built it in one day then tested it out later.

Here are the pics:

before I got there duane had already gotten a head start so I would say from start to finish the ramp took 2 people a good 5 hours to build.

we are not done quite yet though. we still have plans to put a trailer axle in between the rear two crossmembers that we can disconnect so that it will sit on the ground. We just have to track down a good used trailer axle.

Image
Here is duane in hiz crazy yota on the ramp, I know he could have went a lot farther but the rear flexed soo much more than the front that the front didn't want to flex. his score was 570
65" up the ramp and 114" wheel base, if my calculations are right that is 570

Image
it is taller than it looks, the end of the ramp is taller than me by about 1" so it is a little over 6 feet tall

Image
Here is the crazyblaze on the ramp, I made it 70" up the ramp with a 111" wheel base and my score came out to 630

from the bottom of my tire down to the ground it was 37" and my truck still felt pretty stable

Here is his neighbor that showed up just as we got done, his score on the ramp was 259

Sorry HJ, I tried to keep them as close to 50k a peice as I could but if they are too much tell me and I can try to resize them again.

It must be a legit "sport" or else he never would have gone there.

I guess we need to broaden our horizons. I found it rather interesting. I am constantly learning things on here.....lmao

Well he is more hardcore of an offroader than I am so I am sure he wanted it too, I chipped in a little money and my time but he put quite a bit of time and money into it.

I don't know if I would call it a "sport" but more of a bragging rights contest

At one time I was a competitor in "how many shots of Quervo Gold could you stand (or keep standing)"

That was 15 yrs ago and this is now. :D

You felt compelled to help build that thing and then you wanted to beat his score.........could someone tell me where my thought processes went astray?
