Smoke detectors do save lives.

No one died is good, and hopefully no one was hurt either.

That looks like it was a good one :alert:

I hope everyone was ok and there is insurance. We lost 2 barns, 6 horses, a 67 for fairlane and several atvs in 2001. It sets you back but the best thing to do is bounce back and rebuild....Wish your sister, you and your family the best of luck....

That's a bunch of doves , I think? ;) -HJ

Damn lucky everyone survived! Judging by the damage it burned for awhile before it was put out? Was anyone home?

she woke up at 4am and thought it was hailing when actually, the carport adjacent to her room was on fire. she and her husband grabbed their wallets, cell phone, dog, and 2 kids and got outside just in time to watch their house burn to the ground in under 20 mintues....the fire dept. came but it was too late.

if there room had been on the other side of the house where they couldnt of heard the carport on fire, we could of lost them, or the kids....dont be like them
