well i got a 79 k5 blazer on 33x12.5 bf ats and a warn m8274 winch this weekend. Its got a 350 with a turbo 400 tranny, and runs pretty good all for 2500. outside is nice, and the inside is very clean, only needs seat covers up front and then it would be like new.
im wanting to have a 8" superlift or skyjacker and some 37" iroks or 38x12.5 tsls by the end of april. anyone know anything about the lifts? its like 400 for the kit, but it doesnt say anything about break lines, pitman arm, drag link, or drive shaft. anyone know of a k5 forum other then colorado k5? thanks

right on!!!! good choice. and you already have the good tranny. sweet!
nope, coloradok-5 is the only one i know. are you going to wheel this thing or what? do you still have your s-10? if so, you could steel the axels from it and chunk those 10 bolts....
and just buy some new racing seat

Im going to wheel the crap out of the thing. Im so glad i got the 400 tranny. When i went to get tranny service kit i told the guy i had the 350, but the filter didnt look the same and the gasket was a little too small. so i went back and got the 400 kit and it fit. Ive found 3 or 4 12 bolt rears im going to call on soon. The one kid i know that has the 78 chevy short bed flat bed on 39s has a 10 bolt front and a welded 12 bolt rear(in the yahoo album). Hes harder then hell on the thing and hasnt broken anything, so im going to go that way. I still have the s-10 i havent really been trying to sell but its still for sale.

the first that thing k-5 owners do is swap for dana 44 and 14bolt out of a 3/4 ton chevy. they will be the right width too. then at least you will never brake your rear. the 10 bolt is weaker than the toy front, and the toy front cant hold 39's....

I found out today that i do have a 12 bolt rear
. But I still may end up doing an axle swap, ive only have it for a few days so im not sure what I really want to do. As far as the 10 bolt holding 38x12s I dont see much of a problem in mud. My buddy with the swamp buggy running 39s with out a problem and hes just as big and heavy. I know another kid that has a 94 explorer with an 8" rancho 3" BL and the same 38x12.5s YSLs with a 8.8 rear and a d35 TTB and hasnt had a problems. So i guess Ill stay with what i got till I break something, I just dont like the C clip axles
