Will do...I need to wash it first though since I was busting through some puddles a couple weeks ago and haven't had a chance to clean it up yet. :)

I'll say definitely maybe. If I don't have anything else going on that weekend, and if it's not too serious of off-roading, count me in. I've still got the wussy little stock Laredo tires, so pretty much anything more complex than a wavy dirt road will probably be too much for me. :D

dont worry, you can do it, since they want to keep all the trucks together, they are taking easy trails so it dont take too long

oh, and we will be camping friday and sat. night., you got to come hang out. but you must be cool  j/k. so how far are you from mesa?

Don't worry about that...I'm the coolest! :D

Camping? My idea of roughing it is staying in a Motel 6.

I'm in Avondale, which is basically the first town you come to on the I-10 on your way in from LA. That puts me a good 45 minutes from Mesa. I might try and come out during the day and drive home at night. We'll see.

okay, well we are leaving here friday morning which will put us there friday after noon or noonish. you could meet up with the caravan if you want and come out and set up camp. and you have the delux model s-10. if the wheather gets bad just get in the back seat. i have slept back there a ton. or you can sleep in your bed which i will probably do.

I'll see what I can do, but I don't think I'll be able to take off work that day. I don't have much vacation time left, and with the holidays coming up and family visiting, all my time off is pretty much spoken for.

Thanks for the invite though! Maybe some other time. :)

Hobie, I see from that last pic, (sleeping in the bed).... You could use a bed cover. All that would hang out is your feet maybe....lol. That way you wouldn't have to worry about bad weather....lol  or being cramped in the back seat. lol.....

I just happen to know someone who has a cover for sale. lol

Just an Idea...

I'll see what I can do. As boring as my job is, I'll probably be here a lot...as long as the IT Nazis don't catch me.Image

And I just used the forgotten password thingie. A little research goes a long way. :D

Hobie...I'll try to make it out there that Saturday. Just let me know where you're at and I'll see what I can do. I'm sure I'll probably have some drinking plans somewhere in Phoenix that night, so I'll probably just be spending the day.

I was just thinking about it being nice to see a few new members getting up the nerve to post and become contributing members (deckdog, Neal&Annie :thumb: )

Thought I'd revive this old thread and see if AZS10Crew still feels the same way nearly two years after starting this thread :D

BTW ...WELCOME!

Wow...things have changed a little since that post. My truck isn't quite the low rider it used to be (still a road grader though), Hobie doesn't even own a crew cab anymore, Brule pretty much hasn't changed at all, and the "AZ" in my user name no longer applies. :D

Do I feel the same now as I did then? I guess...I've met Hobie since then, so whether that affected me positively or negatively you can decide.

After nearly 2 years here I can safely say this has been the best message board I've been a part of. It's the first one I've seen that seems to be immune to all the normal bickering, BS, and politics that almost all other message boards go through. That's due largely to the admin and moderators, and the earlier members (including myself :D ) who set a tone for easy-going discussions and good solid tech info...with the exception of Hobie who is the Booty Fab King. You didn't think I could leave that off of here for much longer did you?

I feel like a just gave a graduation address or something. Tis the season I guess. 8)

I'll second that. Even though my interests have moved on to my Blazer and not so much my CrewCab anymore, I still feel like part of a family here, even if I'm a bit of an obnoxious little cousin at times!

This and the S10-Extremist board are the only 2 S-10 related boards where the discussions stay on a civilized level. I won't name the bad ones. We all know who they are!

Make sure you take off your tiara before you fall asleep so you don't bend it.

I started to ask about this "tiara" I've heard about several times now, but somehow, considering who's involved, I really don't think I want to know!

It's Hobie's official "King of Booty Fab" crown. He should really tell the story...I couldn't really do it justice. :)

Like I said in another post, I think Brule needs to add a "morning coffee coming out of nose from laughing so hard" emoticon. I didn't even read it all and I couldn't take anymore. That's Ok though, I'm sure some of what I do on my Blazer won't be much, if any better. I'm starting with some pretty rough project material myself.

EDIT: Ok, after going back and looking at the pictures of that Toyota truck he started with, my Blazer isn't that rough! At least I could drive the Blazer for a while.
