We spent the day at the Mountian Home AFB for the Gunfighters air show.
You may have already heard that Airforce's Thunderbird #6 crashed (I was told it was number 6, not confirmed).
The plane was doing a loop, and it sounded like the engine was off as it came around to recover. The plane did level out at about 100 ft , and the pilot ejected. The chute didn't quite open before hitting ground.
We did see the pilot raise to his feet afterwards , but He was taken by ambulance.
I was still watching in disbelief when I snapped this shot-
Needless to say the rest of the show was cancelled.

Just heard a news report that He is alright!
The red arrow points to him walking away from the fire created by the ejection seat.
News here reports that He is Capt. Chris Stricklin from Shelby, Alabama and confirmed it was indeed jet #6
He was released from the hospital 9:00 pm in good condition, and returned to the air base.
