I guess this is under mods but now that I have a Bravada I noticed our crews don't have the rear door interior front garnish moldings they should

Lots of times when you order new plastic interior parts they come in the neutral gray plastic.
The dealer uses a dye applied with a sponge. It penetrates the plastic somewhat.
I have not had to do this yet, but the Cavalier had a portion of the door panel replaced under warranty, and this method was used.
I was curious if you had done this.
I am reluctant to spray coat/paint the plastic. Scratching is going to happen with my truck.
