I have those taillights. I opted to paint them the color of my truck, I think it looks alot cleaner.

Sorry I dont have a pic. I can tell you that I get alot of compliments from othes s series owners. If you get the lights you can always have a sticker put on that is the same color as you truck. You can get a rough idea that way.

Please don't! Those type of tails should be kept on riceboy cars, not trucks. :!:

Something that looks good depending on the color or your truck is tinting your stock taillights. I had them done on my S-10.

Ooh!!! I like the tinted stock lights. How do you go about doing that? Is it done with regular window tint or is there a different approach?

I didn't do mine, a guy on another S-series forum was selling the service. What he does is first sands the lights smooth with a fine grit sandpaper to remove dot stampings etc. He then uses black paint in a spray gun and applies light coats until the desired darkness is achieved. Once he's done painting he then applies a couple coats of clear. The result is very nice.

The guy that did my S-10 lights I don't think does it anymore but I know of another guy from that forum that does. I'm going to have him to the lights on my Jimmy. The tinted tails look better on darker colored vehicles.

Actually with the red truck color, the stock blended in better than the tinted!

Thanks for the info. I may consider it, but you're right about the red tails blending better with the red paint. By the way, your ZQ8 sure was a beauty.

Thanks 8) It was my toy but once the baby came along a regular cab with bucket seats kinda became useless. I sold it with a whopping 14k miles on it after almost 2 years. I didn't want the Bonneville to be the vehicle we always had to drive so I bought the Jimmy that way we would have 2 vehicles we could all ride in.
