OK all you mr gadgets. My next project is to put in indash switch to switch my front axle vacum switch off/on. And no, I don't wanna do the posi-thingydoo manual control. I just haven't had the time to mess with it, but it can't be too difficult. Has anyone done this yet?

Hmmm it doesnt sound like that would work because the vacuum is actually controlled by the transfer case isn't it. Unless you could create vacuum though some other device i think manual control is the only way you can move the actuator. Just my .2

I know it's possible. I know someone that has done it, but is keeping it hush hush cause he may patent it or some'm. I think they used some kinda vacum valve. It doesn't matter where it's controlled by, all I want to do is be able to shut the control off. I want to be able to dis-engage the front axle when in 4LO, so it doesn't matter. I gotta decide if I want to do it by electric means or vacuum.

Oh i see the light now. so you can cut off the vacuum to disengage it for 4lo then release the valve and let it re-activate the front axle. I dont see why that wouldnt work sounds good to me
