dual exhaust

I have a all stock piping and a flowmaster 40 series single in single out and i like the sound but i want it louder.. I have a crew cab... my buddy has a s10 with the ZQ8 suspension and the 4.3 he has a flowmaster 40 single in dual out and dual pipes under rear bumper his is louder and deeper than mine.. if i swap mine to a single in and dual out with dual pipes will it sound differnt than it does now?

y dont u put straight pipes? run dual 2.5 inch pipeing after the cat....go look at the sound clip its under straight pipe exhaust
