Just got the Street trucks mag and there was a GMC ZR5 in the reader rides there that said it was blown also. Lots of crew owners!

That should make it a trailer pull'n machine
Ron should be right around the 300 HP mark right now, and He wants to add a few more mods to get it to 350 HP.
Seems pretty "do-able" to me.

Without an intercooler these advertise 50-60% increase in horsepower with no other mods.
Headers would help some if the tubes are big enough. Just a bigger Y-pipe and 3" all the way would be as good and still useable with a bodylift.
Blown engines just need to get the exhaust out as quickly as possible and don't benefit as much from "tuned" headers.
That's why the funny cars run zoomies.
An intercooler could be good for another 20% increase.
The main investment at this point needs to be opening up the exhaust. Then work on the cooling system, ignition, etc.
I haven't looked into it much but I'd guess $3000-$3500 for a no frills set-up.
