Hey guys,
This is my first post because I'm new. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and learn all the tricks and cool mods! I just bought my truck in August and so far things are pretty good. It's an '02 one- owner with 19800 miles on it. All stock, no mods, just how I wanted to buy one. After looking over this site i'm excited about my plans for my crew. I have previously owned a '99 and two other '98 4 door 4x4 blazers and I loved the room and the over all set- up of them, but missed a truck. Now I've got my 4 doors and a bed too, the best of both worlds. Anyway, Just wanted to say high and will be chatting everyday hopefully. I also wanted to drop this link for everyone. I'm an avid four wheeler and love surfing the web for cool stuff for my vehicles. Take a look at this; http://www.4x4posi-lok.com/app_chevy-s.html . I dont know if i'm not the only guy who's not the biggest fan of chevy's vacuum system. Just curious if anybody has ever tried a system like this one. I luckily only had problems with one of my '98 blazer 4x4 system. For some reason it liked to try to lock in 4x4 by itself on the highway, usually only at high speeds. I finally had to pull the main fuse and live with 2wd. Give me some feedback if possible and i'll take some pics of my ride and postem.

Welcome aboard
I am not sure if the posi-lok is the way to go. There are problems with it , if the guys on ZR2.com are correct.
Here's the thread- If you're thinking of installing Posi-Lock, you probably want to read this first!
I think the consensus right now is , Don't do it!

i had the posi lok on my 91 cherokee and never had aprob with it. havent done much to my crew yet though so i dont know about the one for the cc.
But while reading this article about the guys who had trouble with the posi lock on the newer s-10's Brought a question up in my mind. On the vacum actuator on out trucks is it a cable that runs from the vacum actuator? I havent even looked so I dont know. If it is you could just by pass the actuator all together and run push pull cable from tractor supply straight to the front diff. Im going to look at this this weekend. I did do this on a friends yj andit worked fine and still works. It was a cable you twist to unlock at the handle pull and twist to lock. Maybe Hj knows better on this. after I look at it Ill be able to tell.
