Rear end cover
Does anyone have any good sources for rear end covers . I like the black and raised alum finned covers.

I guess you have a drain plug on your rear differential. Must be a GMC option.barch97 wrote:1. drain gear oil
2. remove old cover
3. install new cover (/ gasget?)
4. refill gear oil

Consider the benefits that an aftermarket cover can offer , when choosing.
Asthetics, cooling, offer reinforcement for an otherwise flexible third member, increase bearing lubrication, ease of service with fill and drain plugs, magnetic drain plug, to name a few.

I got the SLP cover and painted it black with stainless steel bolts.

Now that I've lowered the truck you can hardly see it. I may sand off the edges of the fins to give it more attention.

could always go for one of these

Click the pic for a picture on one that has been installed.
I don't think it would be durable at all - but for show it's kinda cool.
