Trimming / Modifying front fender lip

Post by HenryJ »

I know that a few have made modifications the their front fenders. I did not need the extra clearance until adding 1.25" spacers to the front of mine.

I heard a slight rub when articulating the front end with the tires turned... so out came the sawzall-

I know that Hobie had some shots of his trimming, but could not find the pictures. Anyone else have examples of what they did?

Here's another angle-

I sprayed it with some rubberized undercoating afterwards.

All I had to do to mine was bend up the bottom lip of the wheel well, I just cut it on each end with tin snips about 2" up, then used the BFH to hammer it up and out of the way.
