Nerf Bars That Bolt To The Frame ?

Post by killian96ss »

Does anyone know of a company that makes nerf bars that bolt to the frame instead of the body mounts? I have the 2" BL and don't want to modify a set of bars that bolt to the body mounts. I think a frame mount would be much stronger. :?

The ones that bolt to the body mounts actually work with the BL better than the frame ones...unless you want them to be further down from the body than without the BL.

I want them to be in the same place they would be if I didn't have the BL. I was thinking about getting the Westin Platinum series, but I would get another brand if I can make them work easier. I know they're not rock sliders, but I would like them to have a solid mounting point.

I have Westin Sig. Series step bars that mount using the cab mount bolts.
I tied mine into the front spring eye bolt for rigidity.

I think this is the easiest way for using nerfs with a BL.

Frame mounted bars would have major modifications to make them work. IMO, if you are going to do that , just have some sliders built to work with the body lift.

My factory ZR5 nerfs mount to the frame. It appears they drilled them in so the easiest will be the westin nerfs.

same as connman here.. I like that I dont have to touch them when I take on the BL here shortly.. If they stay where they are now! I might be able to actually use them what they are intended for... with either the BL and TM OR SUPERLIFT.. :poke:
