HPP III & Internal Transmission Kit

Post by kwalsh »

Has anyone has installed an internal transmission kit on our crew?
&
Can I use the internal kit along with the HPP III?

What I mean is, does the programer allow for changing the shift points
with an internal kit installed?

Is this a good idea or can I damage the tranny?
.....using the internal kit to beef up the hardware
and using the HPP III to change the shift points?

Thanks

If you get a shift kit, get the one made by Transgo. There are other shift kits out there, but they're not nearly as good. You can still change the shift points with the programmer, but make sure you don't use the increased line pressure option with a shift kit. The programmer should ask you if you have installed a shift kit.

Isn't this a duplicate post? :)

See my reply in the other thread...basically the same thing killian said.
