rear end is not lined up
so some of you may know this. but 3 months ago, when the dealer put new leaf springs on, my rear was got shifted over about 1". this means that my driver side rear tire sticks out further than my passenger tire. it is noticeable. it also means, that the balance weight on the drive shaft will rubb against the gas tank sheild...this is very bad. so i take it back to the dealer and they agree that it is off a little. but they cant figure out how it got to be that way or how to fix it. so now i am stuck like chuck

Did you try reversing or swapping sides with the shackles?

ok, have you jacked up the frame, and put it on stands (of course) taking the wheels off the ground (axle resting on springs with no load). Then checked the U-bolts to make sure they are tight?

Som'm fishy...
OK, som'm really fishy there. It's really difficult to get the rear cocked. The leafs have a hole and the leaf perch has a pin. It is goof proof. There is no alignment for the rear. Maybe your body mounts loosened up and moved or they got bent? Just guessing here now. Unless they totally missed the hole.
Just some advice, when it comes to modifying your vehicle, I would only do the work yourself, the heck with the warranty. They are idiots. LOL

I have a friend with a 2wd S-10 who installed 2" lowering blocks on the rear. After about 3 months he started complaining about it launching sideways and "waterbedding" when he let off hard. He said he checked everything and had a local shop check it out, found nothing.
I jacked it up blocked the frame and lowered the axle with the tires just off the ground and found all the U-bolts loose. Tightened them up and all his problems went away.
Hope you find your problem that easy
