Hub Bore & Aftermarket Wheel

Will an aftermarket wheel with a hub bore of 72.6mm fit on our truck?

The stock bore is 2.75" or 69.85mm.

So I have to assume that if this wheel was mounted on our hub that the gap of 2.75mm would be a bad thing???

Should I investigate installing custom wheel spacers that are hubcentric for our stock 69.85mm hub and made to fit these aftermarket wheels with 72.6mm hubs?

Matching the hub and mounting the wheel "hub centric" is a good idea, but not absolutely necessary.
I am running spacers that are not hub centric.

Lug centric relies on the wheel lugs to center the wheel. That is what you will be doing running a wheel with a larger center bore.

are you buying the wheels new?? Cause i bought my wife a set of aluminum rims for her car, and it came with a spacer for the inside that was vehicle specific. the dealer said once the rims are torqued, its a pain in the ass to get the spacer out.

Come to think of it I have seen those rings too. I think I had a set of Centerlines with a hub ring to match the application.
I wonder if they might have one to match the application in this case?

The rims are new and I will call the supplier to see if they include a vehicle specific adapter/ring.

now that you have mentioned it, I am running spacers that are not hub centric in the rear. Thanks I see what you are talking about. The only negative I can see is extra force being applied to the wheel lugs.

there is not a lot of side load on your studs. your center is sandwiched between the hub and the Nut. that what takes all of the weight.

The wheels I was looking at, the XD series 795, were backordered and the supplier told me they do not have an ETA. It's back to the drawing board for a different wheel.
Has anybody had luck with locating a black alloy 16" wheel?
