tire air leak

I've got a screw in the front right tire....should I go plub or inside patch....I do a little light offroading...which is stronger and will hold up the longest... :?

if it's just the screw...a plug should be fine!!

A plug is fine for a temporary fix. I'd patch it. The plug may do OK, but I have seen them dry out. They do not offer the reinforcement of a patch.

I am no tire expert, I just do repairs for the fleet and I will admit that I may err to the "old ways".

I agree! :D I just had one of my SS tires patched the other day after getting a major flat. :roll: My tire went completely flat in 4 seconds after a 4" long 5/16" socket head cap screw went through my right rear tire. :x It was almost un-repairable. :( My tire guy used a large vulcanized patch to fix it. :D A new tire would have run me well over $200. :shock:

I got it plugged for now...the guy said it was a REALLY TIGHT FIT. so if it gives me any more greif I'll go with the patch.
