Finally! New shocks!

Post by Rusty »

Well, after 60,000 miles on the original OEM junk, I finally replaced my shocks with new heavy duty Bilsteins, front and rear. What a difference! :D

Now I just need to get around to the 32 million other things I've neglected to maintain on my truck! :!:

I bet you did notice a difference

I got rid of mine before 1 or 2K and love my HD Bilstiens :D

One of the best things you can do, congrats! I bet the family can toss out those Dramamine tablets now :thumb:

It was a HUGE difference! Both front ones were completely blown out and leaking. I probably could have taken them out and not noticed. No wonder I was having such a bad time on the last trail ride! The back ones weren't any better but they weren't leaking yet. The right front was so bad my 5 year old could compress and extend it easily by himself. That's trashed!

Mine are the same way... All of them are leaking. But I just say that cool squish sound is the massive shocks...LOL until i get that lift i will just have to pretend that mine are still ok.

Mine got so bad, it became a matter of survival for my crewcab. The last off road trip I went on, I would go up over a rock and when I came down the other side, it would slam down hard on the frame and/or skid plates because tha shocks wouldn't stop the bounce. I'm glad I have skid plates or that trip could have been a disaster.
