Baby got some new shoes...
Got some new tires put on today...
I went with 31's this time. Not really a noticeable difference in size from my 30" Dunlops, but the ride is very much smoother and quieter. They do rub on the rear of the front fender when turning and flexing into the driveway, but that can be fized with the BFH.

I wanna get those for my crew next time! Looks good!!!
Did you go with the white letters out or in? Some one told me once that it makes the tire LOOK alot bigger with all black walls. I dunno. I like the whites on my truck.

Nice!
What did they end up costing you?
Around here they have been doing pretty well. I have six trucks in the fleet running them now. They have been consistently getting around 40k out of them. Some could be pushed a little longer.
They have signifigantly cut down on the repairs, and even the terror of tires (one of the dam guys) can't tear them up. He spins the tires quite a bit, and runs the sharp rock frequently. He used to go through a set of tires per year, but these will go two on his truck.
If I could buy them at the "government buy" cost, I'd have them on mine.

They are great looking tires!
HJ,
Does OR have state tire contracts? Being a member of the fire dept may allow you to get that price. Once you get that tech license maybe being a member of some type or some type of emergency response team may make you eligible, as well.

I've tried several angles, but the sticker seems to be that they must be used on publicly owned vehicles. For us that means an "E" plate.f9k9 wrote:...Does OR have state tire contracts? I think one problem is that we do not pay FET. I have been buying the 30x9.50-15's for $65 each and the 235/85-16's for $85. It just makes me sick to have to think about paying retail
I'll but a dozen of the MTR's this year, and keep a couple sets in my warehouse. And I still can't get a cheap set for my truck
I am "over" that now. I really like the Geolandar AT+II's. Maybe I should be glad that I could not get the MTR's cheap

I looked there and Tire Rack and ended up getting them from Tire Rack because shipping was less, so the total price came out cheaper. Tire Rack has a DC in South Bend, IN. I paid $141 ea + $64 shipping.jeff024 wrote:GY mtrs are cheaper here then tirerackTIRESAVINGS.COM
127.00 for the 30s and 140 for 31s
I'll get some pics tomorrow hopefully once I do some "BFH Bodywork."

I've got 22k miles on mine, and I would say there is another 15k-20k left. The MT/R's are the best tires I've ever tried, and they have never let me down. I bought mine from tirerack, but I waited until Goodyear was having the buy 4 tires and get $80 back sale. Goodyear usually does this sale once a year.
