? about bodylift and rear bumper

? about bodylift and rear bumper

Did you guys with a bodylift have to drill a new hole for the spare tire crank?.

Reason I ask is before thinking about a bodylift I installed a 7 wire RV trailer wire recepticle into the bumper right below the hole on the left side of license plate right where the PA instructions say to drill. The recepticle looks awesome where I put it but now I'm wondering if I have to take it out if I need to lower the spare.

I did not have to.. Mine works perfectly fine in the original hole

yeah same i original thought that you would have to aswel but it seems to work how i dont realy now :roll:

Thanks for the replies I was a little ticked that I put the plug there but if you used the orginal hole than that's cool. I wonder why they have that in the instructions to drill the hole then. Thanks again!

When you crank the tire down you do scrape on the bottom of the tailgate a little, but nothing serious enough to worry about. How often do you really drop the spare anyway? Hopefully not too often. :)
