Stock Lift?

Post by Pauleo »

Is there any reason we can't use the stock suspension from a zr2? I mean, is that possible and would that be easier or more difficult to accomplish than an aftermarket suspension or body lift? I don't know a thing about this stuff.

No, I meant the zr2. Those things sit exactly how I wish my crew would sit. I'm just afraid of the lift kits. I don't want do do one myself and I can't find anyone that would do it for me.....the RIGHT way. Also, I'm a little leary about a lift screwing things up somehow in the long run.

I thought maybe the zr2's "stuff" (for lack of a better term) could maybe just be swapped out. But I guess if that were the case, someone from this board would have already thought of it and done it. :)

pauleo, zr2's get there lift from a taller frame. and they only did that to claar 31's. seems like alot just to clear 31's when all you need to do is trim the fender and put a BL on a reg s-10.

anyways, if you put 31's on yours, you will have the exact clearence of a zr2. thier frame is taller and thats what make there body site higher than ours. so we in turn put on BL's and thus accomplishing the same thing but for less.

and dont be scared. its just a truck. you cant mess nothing up that cant be fixed...you only live once

BL's are much cheaper than swapping any suspension or doing any lifts. It takes time to install, but overall it's pretty cheap and easy.

OK, OK, OK....... you talked me into it! I guess I would like to do the BL. I'll have to do some studying from the notes here on the board because I'm awefully afraid to tackle this one. I hate that my truck sits so dog gone low! I was talking to this guy about trucks and he has a Ford Ranger 4x4. He put 32's on it with out having to put a lift on & claims he has no rubbing. His truck sits perfect. Now if it wasn't a Ford, I would have said he has a nice truck, but all I could say was that I like the way it sits! :)

So...... I gotta get the BL. By the way, I was thinking of starting a new charity. The "Pauleo Lift Foundation." Anyone care to donate?? :D :D :D :D

I thought Polio was a thing of the past, and we had all but eliminated it through vaccinations? ;)
