zr5 and rear spacers ?

I have the stock wheels right now with the 235's. I want the rear tires to reach the end of the zr5 flares. I measured 2" from the tire to the edge of the flare but am I missing something? I see a lot guys having less than 2" spacers. I eventually am going to order 30" BFG AT also. If that makes any difference on the spacers. Thanks for the help.

I added spacers to make the rears match the front....1.25 to 1.5 will do the trick.

I had the same question. There a topic on spacer photos. I'd link it here but havent figured out hoe to do that yet. I measured mine too and I'm going to ored the 2" ones.

dont be afraid to do the 2" spacer. your flare makes your fender wider than say mine. i had 1.75" spacers....i had a friend with a zr2 with 2" spacers and his looked sweet

I thought about this a little more since i first posted this. I'm going to get 30 x 9.50 tires which are 1 inch wider than stock. So that will be a 1/2 inch out. If the original measurement is 2" then I'm thinking 1.5" would put it right to the edge and right where I want it. I think about stuff like this way too much obviously.

But now that wouldn't make sense if a non-zr5 with 1.75" spacers wasn't beyond the edge. I guess I should just get the 30" tires and remeasure the distance out.

Keep in mind the front and rear will move evenly with the tires. Are you changing wheels? if so backspacing will change.....

also keep in mind that NON-ZR5 only means that you dont have nerf bars, bed rails roof rack and pretty wheels, nothing else, the non-zr5, is the same as the reg ZR5 as far as specs and spacing and all that other good stuff, ZR% is a looks package

Think about it again the optional offroad tire is a 235 which is about 9.25"

There is only about 1/4" difference in width

, or 1/8" more to the outside with the 9.50's

I referenced the ZR5 because they have the fender flares and I'm wanting the tires to reach the edge of the flares. Oh we can only wish the ZR5 included a different suspension.

I thought the 235's were 8.50 but i guess I could be wrong. You know another thing i though about too is that I bet the the hub doesn't connect to the wheel exactly in the middle either so the outward distance from changing tires is probably less than half. I'm going to go with 2" spacers and if it sticks out too far oh well.

235 is two hundred thirty five milimeters , or 23.5 cm and very close to 9.25 inches.

Bear in mind that is section width, not tread.

IM saving for the super lift, 31x10.5 procomp mud terrains, and was looking at the spacers. I had originally thought about getting new wheels with the back spacing to puch the rears out to the fender flares but if I got all 4 wheels like that then that would push the fronts out to far right?

So Im going to buy the spacers for the rear and use my stock zr5 wheels and have them powder coated flat black. That would be better right?

Mine are not "hub-centric" , so that was not an issue for me.

I bought my 1.25" spacers from AIM, and the 2" from Dwight Long aka. "ebay guy"
