lift void warranty?
Hey, I have a 03 s10 ZR5 and I was wondering if I were to get a 2" body lift with fender flares and bigger tires will this void my warranty? Any info would be great

Check out this thread- Mods vs warranty
Basically no, unless it (the BL) can be attributed to the cause for the claim that is being denied.
Oh. and welcome to THE forum
Do some searches here. You'll find that there are currently no production rear flares available. (I didn't say it was not possible, since I have some, but...)

wow, thats awesome.. My dad wont let me lift it until the warranties expire (im only 18) so this is some good news.. finally, i can be higher then my sisters pathfinder!!! Oh, and just wanna let you guys know that this site is awesome, and has helped me with a lot of my questions about my ZR5 which previously no one was able to help me on.. Thanks guys!
Nope...32's won't fit. 31's will probably rub sometimes too. 30's are the only ones that more than likely won't rub.Coda wrote:Oh, and another question.. With the 2" bl and fender flares you think I could squeeze in 32" tires in there??? Or, should i just stick with 31"??

If you're planning on a suspension lift before too long, wait on everything until you get it done. Putting on the BL right after (or even just before) the suspension lift will make it easier...then you can go straight to 33's.

Can you feel the love on this site...LOL
The dealership that I go to has not given me any grief about anything that I have done to my truck. I took it in to get the A/C looked at and they found a rear axle seal and a front CV boot that was leaking and replaced them under warranty while it was in....

I think it all goes back to building a good relationship with your local dealer.KCustom wrote:...The dealership that I go to has not given me any grief about anything that I have done to my truck. Bushwacker flares
No bushwacker does not make cutout flares for our trucks, they do not even make rear flares for our trucks....if you have a Chevy you should have front and rear flares if you have a GMC you only have rears. if you want wider flares there will be some avaliable very soon from GrossMotorsportz...
I would try going to another dealership if there is another in your area....

Yes, most manufacturers show the 7" rim as the minimum width for that size.Coda wrote:... if i were to get 31" x 10.50R15 BF Goodrich All terrains do you think I could keep my factory wheels...

plus, if you do some reading you will see that you need to at least keep that size rim. you dont have much room in that front fender and most aftermarket rims dont offer 6" of back spacing that you need. this is the reason most s-10 people stay with the stock rimsCoda wrote:awesome... now i can keep like 400$ and do something better with it ..lol
