getting ready to lift...one problem!
hey again everyone im pretty much decided that i want to lift my truck a few inches by doing a t bar crank and add a leaf or whatever in the back. one problem i have no idea how to go about this. first i looked under my truck and i dont see how turning anything under there would lift anything. if someone could explain this to me that would be great...maybe some pics too. next i have no idea where to get an add a leaf or shackles( which i dont know what they are anyway) and i live in canada. so if you have to order them from a special supplier does anyone know where i can do this or what kind of store shop would carrythem. now the reason i want to lift my truck this way is that i dont have a wack of money. and i really only want like 2 inches more heght anyway, then eventually bigger tires. so if anyone can explain this stuff to me that would be great. im pretty mechanically illiterate so details would be good thx alot laterz

It takes an 18mm socket. One bolt on each end of the rear tbar hanger. You can just see the head of the adjusting bolt here, bottom right of the picture, below the blue dot on the key. Add a leaf can probably be had just about anywhere, but someone else can answer that maybe. Myself, I wouldn't crank the tbars too much, cause you'll just eat up half-shafts.

Be sure to check out the Modification information page, from the S-10CREWCAB.COM website.
There is a page dedicated to the Torsion bar crank and the Leaf helper springs, Shackles, or Boise Springworks kit (though it is a bit pricey now).
A search of the forum should yield many good places to buy parts, or maybe some fellow Canadians will suggest a good place?
