lift question from a newbe..
Is it possible to lift the crew some inches with a set of bigger springs and shocks in the front and leafs and shackles in the rear. just a question..... if not .. please explain why not. I know when u lower a car you get smaller springs and new shocks. and was just wondering if it was backwards on the truck...

the rear you can lift alot(or little) with new leaf springs, or shackles, or a Axle flip kit which put's the axle shaft below the springs to get lift.
The front end you can just t-bar crank to get lift, but your CV joints won't last to long. It appears safely 1" and pushing it to maybe 1.5" is all the free lift you can get in front. You can get more lift in front but your cv joints won't like it.
A few here have done 1.5" lift shackles in rear and a t-bar crank infront. The 4wd models are probably easier to drop than a 2wd cause the front you can just do a t-bar drop to lower the front end and just add some lowering blocks in rear like import mini trucks back then.
Cheers,
Con
