What backspacing on a 15X8 rim
I am plannin on the 6 inch Superlift when the wallet is thick enough, but would like to get rid of the ugly stock rims first. I have bone stock suspension and am lookin a set of rims that i can use later with the lift. One less cost for when the lift comes. Is it alright to run stock 235/75R15s with a 15X8? If not, will 30x9.5R15s fit without rubbing and no suspension modifications or bodylift. I am willing to do very minor trimmin and possibly a torsion bar crank. Then the headache of backspacing. How much? Recomendations on rim and tire combos would be greatly appreciated.

What wheels do you like?
That may play a big part in what will be available. You have made things somewhat difficult. The wheels that will work well after the lift may have quite a bit less rearspacing than what will work stock.
An 8" wide wheel is going to be a tough fit on the stock truck with small tires. You really need as much rearspacing as you can get. Stock is 6" rearspacing. I think you will be hard pressed to find a truck wheel with 5" rearspacing. That would probably be your best bet.
It seems that Superlift specified a wheel width and rearspacing. I think the lift suggested quite a reduction in rearspacing. Something in the range of 4 1/2" ? That would wreak havoc with rubbing on a stock truck even with fairly small tires.
Others may have better ideas. I am sure there will be some suggestions soon.
I would suggest patience and getting the lift you want before the wheels. "Don't put the wheels before the cart"...or so to speak
Welcome

Hey thanks for the welcome I found the site awhile ago but havent really got into addin to the truck untill recently when Uncle sam owed me some. i am discovering how addicting it is.
I like the design of the Pro Comp series 1069 or 1079, something similar to that style. Both come in a 15x8 with a -19MM/-.750 offset. Which if i am right is 4 3/4 inch backspacing.

I think we have a few members here running a wheel With similar rearspacing. I am pretty sure they all have 2" bodylifts though.

Are there any problems that have have occured with a bodylift? I usually like to stay away from liftin the body due to all the other things that need to be lifted like the hitch and bumpers and changin the angle of the steering shaft.
But lookin around on the site I came across a picture of Avatar's truck and am havin second thoughts on the superlift. With a T-bar crank and a body lift what else is needed to clear 33's with 15x7s?

Cutting.
The bodylift is not a problem. It has benefits for this application and there are no steering modifications.
