shock ?
Need some advice on the best set of on- road highway shocks available for the S-10 crew. Do little, if any off- roading. Will a set of ranchos give me a decent highway ride ,or are these mostly for 4x4 ing ?

I was very happy with my ranchos for the first 30-40k miles. On road performance was immediately improved. Much smoother ride, much less sway, much better handling, etc. That may however have been because of the night/day difference between the stock shocks and any replacement. The ranchos have since softened and are showing signs of age. Don't get me wrong, I'm still happy with them and for the limited use my truck gets these days they're doing just fine.
As I understand it, bilsteins while a little more expensive, will in fact outlast the rest of your truck.
So, I guess the question is, how long are you going to keep your truck? If it's only going to be another few years and/or 35k miles, then save a few bucks and get the ranchos. But, if you plan to keep the truck forever... get the Bilsteins once.
