Any input on the Hellwig sway bars?

Fitting oversize tires, raising and lowering, suspension modifications...

Any input on the Hellwig sway bars?

I am thinking about getting these sway bars...can anyone give me a few pros and cons?

I think Jim may be the resident swaybar person here. But here's my 2 cents...

The factory front bar is pretty good. It is the bigger bar that is included in the Z85 suspension package. If anything, I'd just add some urethane link bushings,

A rear bar seems reasonable. Would the GM (Blazer) sway bar cost less than $140 ? It might if you find one on ebay.



If you are looking for a handling improvement, upgrade the shocks, it made a huge difference for me. Then add the rear bar.

The rear GM bar made a big handling improvement. But the best move I made was getting the stock tires off & going with 16"x8" wheels.

Bilsteins. A search for this, shocks, or Procomp should yield lots of info.

I went to a Rancho RSX and they made a big diff when going off road. Question maybe someone can answer. Has anyone heard of a spring loaded shock? The RSXs are spring loaded, a BIG pain in the @$$ to get on.
