Lift Kit for 1996 Chevy S10 Zr2

Post by MattC »

I have a Chevy S10 Zr2(I know not a crew cab) that I want to lift. I have heard of a few body lifts and also a few suspension lifts, but don't really know what to get. It already has some lift with the Zr2 kit, but I think it is just by adding bigger shocks as there doesn't appear to be a body lift on it. I have 31x10.50x15's already but I kinda wanted to put bigger tires on it. How much lifting/cutting of fenders would I have to do to get the bigger tires. Thanks for all your guys help.

On a Zr2, you could say it has a suspension lift. The suspension mounting points are lower on the frame, resulting in a higher ride height than non-Zr2 S-series trucks. If you don't want to affect ride quality or handling, you could go with a 2" or 3" body lift. I know you can run 32x11.5x15's with a 2" or 3" body lift, but I think 33's might rub. Maybe Jigg or Muslhed will chime in with some advice. :)
