I was robbed of a 1/2 inch

No I'm not talking about a personal problem either. I checked the height of my tires today (31 x 10.50 x 15 Mickey Thompson MTX's) with them of course but they are only 29.5 tall. My tires were supposed to be 30". I feel cheated. I checked the 31" X10.50 on my mom's colorado and they are at least 30" or more when their on. I knew my 31's would be closer to 30" but man I feel like I bought 30's. Just kinda venting here. I'm not that mad I mean the tires look great, aggressive, and I haven't lost too much power but man...

did you measure them top to bottome or right to left? the weight of the truck could have the top to bottom measurement compressed if the air pressure is low. i could be completely wrong though...

I thought I would get a laugh out of the title. What's strange is that I do have rubbing issues on the frame. I'm not bummed or anything just feel a little misinformed I mean to begin with I'm ordering a 31" tire and it's supposed to be 30.0 diameter as your quote states but then they ended up being 29.5. Kinda like buying a bunch of 2x4's for the first time and finding out their 1.5 x 3.5".

Second thought maybe they are 30" in diameter when their pumped up to 50 psi. ?

I rechecked the size of the tires measuring left to right and the actual diameter is 30". All is good.
